We are looking for experienced, motivated professionals to join as Design Judges and Technical Inspectors for our high-caliber design competitions. This role entails assessing vehicle designs for innovation, feasibility, safety, manufacturability, and overall engineering excellence. You'll conduct both document evaluations and on-site technical assessments, playing a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of engineers. This is a unique opportunity to lend your expertise, inspire emerging talent, and contribute to a legacy of engineering excellence.

02 Key Responsibilities

Comprehensive Review & Evaluation

Design Documentation

Conduct thorough evaluations of key documents, including Design Safety Sheets (DSS), Design Specification Packs (DSP), DFMEA, DVP, and complete vehicle designs. Ensure adherence to high technical standards and assess each design's ability to meet industry-leading benchmarks.

Supplementary Reports

Analyze additional materials, such as CAE analysis, aesthetic reports, innovation documentation, and testing reports, to gain a comprehensive view of each team's design strategy.

On-site Technical Assessment and Team Engagement

Interact directly with teams to assess their understanding, development process, and technical expertise in the following areas.

  • Frame/Body Design
  • Aesthetics and Creativity
  • Controls, Brakes, and Safety
  • Systems Management and Integration
  • Manufacturability and Serviceability
  • Engine/Motor/Drive/Transmission Systems

Offer constructive, real-time feedback, helping teams refine their design and technical approach to achieve higher levels of innovation and practicality.

03 Ideal Background & Skills

Ideal Background & Skills

Educational Foundation

Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Electric Vehicle Engineering, or related field.

Technical Mastery

Strong grasp of vehicle design principles, development processes, and technical documentation, including DFMEA, DVP, and CAE reports.

Problem-Solving Skills

Analytical skills to troubleshoot complex design issues, recommend viable solutions, and evaluate designs for feasibility and impact.

Leadership & Mentorship

Effective leadership abilities, with a talent for inspiring and guiding teams. Prior experience in judging, technical inspection, or mentoring in motorsports or similar competitions is valuable.

Communication Excellence

Strong interpersonal skills for providing clear, constructive feedback and fostering a positive, educational environment.

Detail-Oriented Approach

High attention to detail when reviewing documentation and assessing design concepts for accuracy, safety, and feasibility.

ISNEE Alumni Advantage

Preference for candidates with prior ISNEE competition experience (GKDC, Quad Torc, FGI, FOMBI) who understand competition standards and have firsthand experience.
