The 5th season of the Go Kart Design Challenge opened the registration in three categories i.e., CV 125cc, CV 150cc, and EV. This was the first time in the history of GKDC that two new categories were commenced. The teams applauded the new additions and that revealed their excitement as the number of registration in all three categories touched 162. 132 out of 162 teams managed to submit the reports on time and qualified for the next level.
87 out of these 132 teams could complete the In-House Technical Inspection and only 79 successfully submitted the testing report within the deadlines. 64 teams reported in the final event with the ready to run vehicles. The quality of manufacturing and sense of designing & engineering of the karts in this season made the judges delighted and 58 teams managed to qualify the onsite technical inspection and brake test that resulted in competitive endurance and fuel economy round.
The overall championship was claimed by Team Luftwaffe Racing from RIT Islampur, Maharashtra.
