It had been a long-awaited event as the country went into complete lockdown immediately after the 7th GKDC. The event had to go through a lot of ups and downs including repeated rescheduling. But then when you have a dream, you've got to grab it and never let go. And ultimately it was finalized to be held at Aruani Grid, Bangalore from 22 to 25 Aug 2022. As many as 78 teams enrolled for the competition but only 51 could confirm their registration.
The rest of the teams had to withdraw their names due to several reasons which did not support vehicle manufacturing effectively. Out of these 51 teams, only 37 could complete the vehicle manufacturing on time and finally qualified for the in-house technical inspection. But there was one more last-minute setback waiting to obstruct the teams, and this was the revised examination schedule for Kerala Teams.
Sadly 5 teams had to take a tough call of not coming to the final event due to their exams. 32 Teams reported at the venue and appeared in various evaluations that are a part of the rulebook. The results of the various static and dynamic events are as follows:
